Gas Calcined Anthracite (GCA) is produced in vertical furnaces under temperature of 700℃~1300℃, obtaining a devolatized and partially graphitized product.

The primary application of GCA is in steel mill ladles, melting, holding and even blast furnaces as carbon raisers, carbon additives, recarburizers, injection carbon and carbon foaming material.
